Becky Bailey is a dedicated and creative trauma-informed massage therapist who uses intuition to guide her technique in a client-centered approach to massage. She is passionate about providing trauma-informed, spiritually integrated care that honors the whole person, past and present.
New Leaf Massage offers a variety of massage services, including aromatherapy massage, therapeutic cupping, migraine and chronic illness care, and prenatal massage. Becky is trained in a range of techniques and uses only the highest quality natural and organic products.
The frequency of your massage sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Some of my clients are musicians, dancers, and athletes with high achievement goals, so they schedule weekly treatments, but the largest percentage of my clients book 1 - 2 times a month for maintainance care.
Much like physical therapy or going to the gym, the best results from massage come with consistency. Don't know where to start? No worries! Your first visit includes a free consultation where we discuss your goals and devise a treatment plan customized just for you!
Each new client session begins with a free 10min consultation. This enables me to learn more of your medical history and develop a treatment plan that fits your wellness goals.
I typically offer a skin-contact, oil massage, so expect to leave with your skin feeling nourished and hydrated! I drape all my sheets clearly and conservatively, so everything essential is going to stay covered at all times, but if you are more comfortable staying fully clothed during your session, simply let me know and I'll adapt my techniques accordingly. At different points during the massage I may invite you to lay on your back or on your stomach as I work. If either of these positions is actively uncomfortable for you, I have a variey of techniques to offer you effective support so you can continue to effortlessly enjoy your session.
By the end of your session you may feel tired, a bit lightheaded, or mildly sore, similar to the after effects of a good workout. All of this is common and usually a good sign that your body is actively detoxing and reprocessing in response to the healing work we did together! Rest, hydrate, and stretch, and these effects should resolve with the next couple of days.
It is important to me to tailor each session to the specific needs of that client as much as possible, so if you have any specific triggers, religious restrictions, or requests, don't hesitate to ask, and I will be happy to accommodate whatever time and my office constraints allow.
Since I'm the sole massage therapist on site, I can't offer simultaneous couples massages. However, couples frequently set up back to back sessions where I work on them sequentially. Tandem bookings come with a complementary essential oil of your choice used in your sessions!
Yes, I offer prenatal massage for expecting mothers to help relieve stress and discomfort during pregnancy. For safety concerns, I only offer massage for those already in their 2nd and 3rd trimester (after 13 weeks).

Yes. I have worked with teenagers with all kinds of conditions, from sports injuries to growing pains. Because massage is a hands-on form of healthcare, I place a high priority on informed consent from both teens and their guardians. There is a minors release waiver included in their brief paperwork, and the parent/guardian will be asked to stay on the premesis for the complete duration of the session. Parents/guardians can relax in our comfortable waiting room, or they are welcome to sit in the treatment room with their teen, according to the descretion and comfort of all parties involved.
Absolutely. Everyone is welcome and worthy of healing. It is important to me to cultivate a truly inclusive and welcoming atmosphere in my office.
Unfortunately, no. Since the New Leaf office is located in the residential space for Living Closer Retreats, we are not fully wheelchair accessible; there is a short flight of stairs to the front door as well as narrow doorways and wheelchair inaccessible bathrooms. But, because making massage available to every body is one of our core values, I can bring massage to you! I offer a limited number of slots for recurring mobile massage clients, and pricing may vary depending on travel time. For more information please email beckyb.lmt@gmail.com
Ever-expanding research has continued to show that our memory and emotions profoundly impact our bodies, and vice versa. I have discovered that clients often "store" traumatic memories in various physical spaces of their body where they manifests as pain or restricts their range of motion, and when we work on that physical area during a massage, those emotions often flood back to the surface.
While psychotherapy is outside of my scope of practice, I consider it a sacred responsibility to cultivate a profoundly safe healing environment, free of judgement and full of compassion. I can often sense when we're approaching an emotionally complex area of the body through a variety of physical and nonverbal cues, and if a client chooses to share their experience, it is my honor to listen to their story, gently guide their physical responses toward healing, and ensure they are comfortable and regulated before moving on with the session.
If you are interested in pursuing psychotherapuetic trauma care, I highly recommend both Living Closer Retreats, and Soma Therapy & Wellness
Much like our emotional experiences, our spiritual life can profoundly impact our physical well-being. As a practicing Christian, I draw my source of healing directly from the Spirit and seek to honor the spiritual in each of my clients, whether or not they share my religion. I also recognize that massage is a vulnerable practice, so I take spiritual and emotional consent as seriously as I do physical consent, and will not actively prosylatize to any of my clients during a session.
Yes. I do have a portable table so I can bring massage to you! Availability for recurring mobile clients is limited, and pricing may vary depending on travel time. For more information please email beckyb.lmt@gmail.com
